With lack of self-esteem and confidence being the main reason why someone would go to a life coach, is life coaching just another form of counselling?
Sean McPheat, leading life coach and mentor comments that, \"Life coaching is very different from counselling. It focuses on the hear and now rather than looking into any deep meanings of the \"why\". The survey demonstrates that society places a lot of pressure on everyone to be assertive and confident if they want to succeed and more and more people would rather go to a life coach than a counsellor because they do not want to look back and dig up the past, instead they want to look forward\"
Here are some tips to help you with your confidence levels:
1. Emotion is created by motion. If you feel low, move your body and you will naturally feel better
2. Put on an act. If you do not feel confident act as though you are and have some fun with it
3. Keep a daily log of all of the things you have accomplished each day and review it before you go to bed
4. Take 5 minutes each day, close your eyes and picture yourself as a confident, vibrant person
5. Put everything into perspective. When you are feeling low always remember that there is always someone who is worse off than you are
